The World According to Al Has Been Forever Altered. Albert Laurent Dagenais, age 72, passed away suddenly en route to the QEII Health Sciences Centre Emergency. Born in Halifax to Alma Zong and Albert Joseph Dagenais. At the age of 17, Al joined the Canadian Navy, Naval Air Electronics Division, and after seven years on various ships he released. He operated several local businesses, retiring in 1996 from Marlant. Al was known to many, all across Canada and in his Summerfield, Fla. winter home. He was an avid reader, enjoyed working to improve his homes, and would do anything to support and encourage the aspirations of his children and grandchildren. Al has left to mourn his soul mate, best friend and wife, Cheryl Campbell; sons, Lawrence (Pam) and Vincent (Sherry); daughters, Cynthia (Paul), Suzanne (Rob) and Ellen (Brian); grandsons, Corey, Mack, Noah, Nathan, and Gabriel; granddaughters, Taylor, Megan, Alicia, Emma, and Julia; greatgranddaughter, Harlee Dawn; and his brother, Jean Yves.
