Born in Halifax, NS on April 28th, 1928, Lillian passed away in Belleville, ON on June 12th, 2017. Deeply mourned by her husband John Eden. Cherished and very proud mother of Christopher & his wife Kimberly, Paul & his wife Cathy, Tony & his wife Valerie and John (Jr.) & his wife Deborah. Sadly missed by her nine grandchildren; Jennifer, Nicole, Christopher, Nicholas, Sean, Zachery, Kristen, Daniel and Madison and one great grandson Conner. She is survived by her sisters Jean Dickinson and Betty Hamilton. Predeceased by her parents Louis & Stella Hopper, her sisters Catharine Boutilier, Rita During, Irene Boutlier and her brothers Kenneth, Louis, Thomas, James and Charles. She is fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Lillian attended school in Halifax and wed John in May 1952 and they shared 65 wonderful years together. Lillian's children, grandchildren and great grandson were her greatest joy in life. She had a long career in Public Service in Ottawa, Halifax and Toronto retiring in 1988.
