Alexander Robert Glen 'Bob' Haddow, Age 78, passed away Sunday, January 15, 2017 in Dartmouth General Hospital after a lengthy illness. Born in Saskatoon, he was the son of the late Peter and Jean (Cunningham) Haddow. Bob retired in 1988 after 30 years service with the Royal Canadian Navy as a helicopter technician on ships in Shearwater and Pat Bay, B.C., and was then employed with the Commissionaires for 10 years. Bob was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed hockey. He worked with the Dal Tigers and tournaments with SEDMA, Dartmouth Whalers and Bantam teams. Besides his parents Bob was predeceased by stepsons, Jeff and Steven Mitchell. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Joan; son, Darren (Karen) Haddow, Calgary; sisters, Joan Haddow and Patricia (Chuck) Faulkner, Calgary; granddaughters, Tiffany Mitchell, Ashley Mitchell, Megan (Eric) Griffith, Emily and Hailey Haddow; great-grandchildren, Cameron, Ryker and Lexie Griffith; nieces, Amanda, Allison and Erin Faulkner.
